Microbiota of semen samples with normozoospermia: analysis of real-time PCR data

The analysis of semen microbiota is difficult due to the lack established criteria for interpretation microbiological tests. aim study was determine stable clusters analyzed by real-time PCR in samples with normozoospermia. Semen 227 men normal spermiograms were included study. quantity total bacterial DNA and at least one group microorganisms more than 103 GE/ml 107 (41.7%) samples. Four prevalence a specific microorganism distinguished these samples: obligate anaerobes (OA) cluster (proportion centroid — 81.1%); Lactobacillus spp. 64.3%); gram-positive facultative (GPFA) 92.5%); Enterobacteriaceae/Enterococcoccus (EE) 80.8%). ranked frequency occurrence: OA most prevalent (43 (40.2%) 107), second-most frequent GPFA-cluster (27 (25.2%)) Lactobacillus-cluster (22 (20.6%)). EE-dominated found 15 (14.0%) cases.
